Arrested: Jullian Ferguson, 22, Irvington

Arrested by: Ptl. Daniel Donnerstag

Charges: Possession of Under 50g (Marijuana); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Remarks: A 2007 Honda was stopped on Centennial Avenue near Raritan Road for not signaling a turn. Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Donnerstag arrested the driver, Jullian Ferguson, for suspected marijuana located inside the vehicle. He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. Additionally, he was issued motor vehicle summonses for being a suspended driver, having an unregistered vehicle, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

Centennial Avenue and Raritan Road

Arrested: Rafael Batista, 52, Edison

Arrested by: Ptl. Joseph Sherbo

Charges: Driving While Intoxicated (DWI)

Remarks: Police units were detailed to the intersection of Centennial Avenue and Raritan Road for a motor vehicle crash. Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Sherbo arrested one of the drivers, Rafael Batista, for driving while intoxicated. He was processed and released to a responsible adult. He was provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. Rafael Batista was also issued a motor vehicle summons for delaying traffic related to the crash.

Centennial Avenue and Raritan Road

Arrested: Shaquan Kyle-Knight, 19, East Orange

Arrested by: Ptl. Jason D’Agostino

Charges: Possession of Under 50g (Marijuana); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Remarks: A 2018 Honda was stopped on Centennial Avenue near Raritan Road for a seatbelt violation. Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. D’Agostino arrested a passenger, Shaquan Kyle-Knight, for suspected marijuana located on his person. He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. Additionally, the driver was issued motor vehicle summonses for a seatbelt violation and for being a suspended driver.

Walnut Avenue and South Avenue East

Arrested: Patricia Desalvo, 45, Clark

Arrested by: Ptl. Daniel Norton

Charges: Driving While Intoxicated (DWI); Use of a Controlled Dangerous Substance

Remarks: Police units were detailed to the intersection of Walnut Avenue and South Avenue East for a motor vehicle crash. Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Norton arrested one of the drivers, Patricia Desalvo, for driving while intoxicated and use of a controlled dangerous substance. She was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. In addition, she was also issued a motor vehicle summons for careless driving related to the crash.

Spring Art Show Displays Students' Creativity

CRANFORD - The Cranford High School Spring Art Show was held at the Cranford Public Library, on Tuesday. 

From 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., artwork from classes such as crafts, graphic design, photography, and drawing was on display for the public to promote the creative and unique projects done by students throughout the school year.
