Arrested: Robert Baer, 26, Cranford

Arrested by:  Ptl. Brian Trotter

Charges:  Driving While Intoxicated; Use and/or Being Under the Influence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance

Remarks:  Patrol Units responded to a W. South Avenue establishment, for the report of an individual sleeping in the driver seat of a motor vehicle.  Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Trotter determined that the driver, Robert Baer, was operating the vehicle while under the influence.  Baer was arrested, processed, and released to a friend pending a Municipal Court appearance.  Baer was issued a motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated.

John Street @ E. North Avenue

Arrested: Mateusz Pawlak, 24, Rahway

Arrested by: Ptl. Timothy Handy

Charges:  Driving While Intoxicated

Remarks:  While on routine Patrol, Ptl. Timothy Handy located a suspicious motor vehicle in the area of John Street and E. North Avenue.  Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Handy determined that the driver, Mateusz Pawlak, was operating while under the influence.  Pawlak was arrested, processed, and released to a friend pending a Municipal Court appearance.  Additionally, Pawlak was issued motor vehicle summonses for driving while intoxicated and failure to exhibit documents.

Walnut Avenue @ Lenhome Drive

Arrested: Kervin Destra, 28, Elizabeth

Arrested by: Ptl. Brian Lopez

Charges: Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance(Cocaine); Possession of Marijuana(under 50g);Possession of Paraphernalia; Contempt of Court

Remarks:  A 1999 Nissan was stopped at the intersection of Walnut Avenue @ Lenhome Drive for a seatbelt violation.  Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Lopez determined that a passenger, Kervin Destra, had an active arrest warrant out of Elizabeth Municipal Court.  Subsequent to arrest, it was determined that Destra was in possession of marijuana and cocaine.  Destra was processed, and released on his own recognizances on the Elizabeth warrant.  Destra was issued a Superior Court appearance.  The driver was issued a motor vehicle summons for failure to wear seat belt.

W. South Avenue @ Elise Street

Arrested: Lyle Dungee, 31, Plainfield

Arrested by: Ptl. Ali Muhammad

Charges: Possession of Marijuana(under 50g); Possession of Paraphernalia

Remarks: A 2000 Nissan was stopped at the intersection of W. South Avenue @ Elise Street for a seat belt violation.  Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Muhammad located marijuana inside the vehicle.  The driver, Lyle Dungee, was arrested, processed, and released pending a Municipal Court appearance.  Dungee was issued motor vehicle summonses for driving while suspended, possessing a controlled dangerous substance inside a motor vehicle, and failure to wear a seatbelt.
