CRANFORD, NJ-The Cranford Police Department will host its eleventh annual Cranford Police Youth Academy from July 10 to July 14, according to press release sent by the department on April 4.

The academy is open for students graduating from sixth grade to eighth grade and will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, according to the press release.

“The primary goal of the Cranford Police Youth Academy is to encourage open communication between the youth of Cranford and members of the Cranford Police Department,” the press release reads. “The program gives Cranford youth the opportunity to see some of the aspects of the Cranford Police Department.”

The deadline for applications is Friday, May 19 by 3 p.m. and can be found on www.cranford.com/police. There is a $60 registration fee, according to the press release.
