Cranford Softball Defeats Elizabeth

CRANFORD, NJ – Cranford softball scored nine runs off of 11 hits to defeat Elizabeth High-School, 9-5, Friday at Adams Field.

Julia Palozzola went three for four with one run and two RBIs. The lady Cougars also received hit production from Candace Durant who had a hit and two RBIs, Morgan Ferretti with two hits and two runs and Vienna Stivala who went three for four with a run. Starting pitcher, Theresa Wetherall gave up six hits, had seven strikeouts and four runs in her four innings pitched. Winning pitcher for the Cougars was Brenna Dolan who went three innings, gave up one run on three hits.

The lady Cougars are in action again on Monday, April 20, when they travel to Kenilworth to take on David Brearly at 4:00 p.m..

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - Rutgers University Board of Governors today approved a 2.3 percent hike in tuition and fees, as well as increases for dorm rooms and meals, for the 2018-2019 academic year.
