CRANFORD, NJ – In NJ Family’s April issue, New Jersey's Best Towns for Families 2017, Cranford earned the No. 1 spot in Union County and No 9. in the state.

NJ Family looked at more than 500 towns across the state to come up with its rankings. They took into account many factors including: school district quality, crime rates, affordability, commute times, percentage of families who live there, access to hospitals and general lifestyle factors.

Cranford has a population of more than 22,000 people with the average home price quoted at $438,833.

Cranford is cited as a "charming and family-friendly town" with a bustling downtown area that boasts many restaurants, stores and family-owned businesses. It also offers many family-friendly opportunities including its community center, thriving athletic programs, municipal pools and many town-wide holiday activities.

Cranford’s proximity to New York City was also a factor with easy access to NJ Transit and luxury apartments close by that is attractive to professionals.
