Cranford Township Reorganization Meeting is Tuesday Jan. 3

CRANFORD, NJ – The Township Committee of Cranford will hold its 2017 Reorganization Meeting at the Cranford Municipal Building, 8 Springfield Avenue on Tuesday Jan. 3, at 6 p.m..

This year, incumbent Commissioner Mary O’Connor, as well as newly elected Ann Dooley will take the Oath of Office. In addition, Commissioner Thomas Hannen and Patrick Giblin will take the Oath of Office of Mayor and Deputy Mayor.

The agenda also includes; the adoption of several resolutions and various appointments to committees, boards and commissions for the township.

Reorganization meetings following November elections are required by state law to be held in the first seven days of January when new or re-elected members of the governing body are sworn to office.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - Rutgers University Board of Governors today approved a 2.3 percent hike in tuition and fees, as well as increases for dorm rooms and meals, for the 2018-2019 academic year.
