Dog Photos with Santa Help Raise $ for Canine Rescue Organization

WESTFIELD, NJ — On Sunday, Santa Claus ditched the reindeer for photos with dogs at the Knights of Columbus Hall on North Avenue in Westfield to support the seventh annual fundraiser for Brendan's Meadows dog rescue organization. 

Pet owners paid a suggested fee of $10 for a picture with St. Nick to help the all volunteer, non-profit, no kill dog rescue and placement operation. Brendan's Meadows was founded in 2009 by Clark resident Kerry Mooney, whose father, Brendan, believed "A house is not a home without a dog."

The 100 percent volunteer organization is comprised of a small group committed to giving dogs a second chance in life. It has foster homes in Scotch Plains, Westfield, Clark, Mountainside, Cranford, Summit and Toms River.
