NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - The Cranford girls lacrosse team was defeated by powerhouse New Providence, 12-8, in Thursday’s game.

Jeannie Padden and Abby Ganley each had three goals for Cranford, with Ganley adding two assists. Grace Power and Caroline Kelly also took a goal apiece, in addition to Power adding two assists of her own.

Sophomore goalie Anna Horne saved 10 scoring attempts against New Providence (4-0 in New Jersey Interscholastic Girls Lacrosse League, 4-1 overall). Cranford is currently 2-2 in the NJIGLL and 2-3 overall.

The Cougars will take on Glen Rock on Wednesday, April 19 at Glen Rock High School.
