Mathematics Tool Kit – Resources to support your child at home

Beyond the walls of the mathematics classroom: Resources for personalizing your child’s learning at home.  Does your child have a particular interest?  Whether they love or loathe mathematics, this session will provide you and your child with a selection of tools to personalize their math instruction at home.  From resources such as Dan Meyer’s 3-Act Math and Khan Academy to a list of fascinating mathematical books and journaling ideas, this session will provide opportunities at home to further develop the mathematical concepts your child is learning in school.

Understanding When We Read

Learning to read is more complex than we think.  When we become proficient readers, we seldom think of the reading strategies we use to understand texts.  In this parent session, Lorraine Madden, literacy coach, will help make visible your own reading process and explain the variety of strategies children need to use to become skilled readers.  If you’re interested in learning about the complicated work of comprehension, please attend.

I'm Excited To See What Sara Todisco Will Do As Mayor.

May 25, 2018

We should give her a chance and if we weren't satisfied, we could ...
