CRANFORD, NJ – Livingston Avenue School will present its family-friendly haunted house next weekend to raise funds for the PTA.

The school will be turned into “The Hotel Crannsylvania” on Friday and Saturday evening. This will be the first year that the haunted house is themed.

“We selected "The Hotel Cransylvania" because we thought it would be a fun spoof on the movie "The Hotel Transylvania,” Lisa Pizzuta of the PTA said.

The haunted house is entirely run by parents and students. There will be seven rooms in total with a three-minute sketch in each room. Additionally, there will be a sling-shot game for families to play, Halloween themed refreshments and a graveyard to walk through.

“We wanted a family-friendly event that all of Cranford and neighboring towns could attend for a very reasonable price,” Pizzuta said.

All proceeds will benefit the PTA, which subsidize school trips, assemblies, events, teacher supplies and more.

“This is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Livingston Avenue School PTA,” Pizzuta said.

The event will take place on Friday, Oct. 20 and Saturday, Oct. 21 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. There will be an entry free of $3 per person at the door.
