CRANFORD - The Cranford Board of Education will continue to hold two tuition-based full-day kindergartens for the 2020-2021 school year, pending sufficient enrollment. In anticipation of high interest in the program, your child’s participation will be based on a lottery.
According to the release, children who will be five years old by October 1, 2020, and are Cranford residents are eligible for the full-day kindergarten program. The application can be downloaded from the Cranford Public Schools website www.cranfordschools.org (click on the “For Parents” tab or under "Latest News"). Your application must be submitted to the Superintendent’s Office by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2019. Applications submitted after November 26, 2019, will be placed on a waiting list.
Names are chosen through the use of a random number generator. You will be notified via email after December 2, 2019, if you have been selected or placed on a waitlist. Applicants should be aware there is a tuition charge of $735 per month.
Please note that the locations of the full-day kindergarten programs are Bloomingdale Avenue School and Walnut Avenue School. Parents/Guardians will be responsible for transportation. Children attending the full day program will be placed in their home school for first grade in 2021-2022.
