Arrested: Andrew Mellein, 28, Clark

Arrested by:  Ptl. Gregory Federici

Charges:  Possession of Hypodermic Syringe

Remarks:  A 2000 Oldsmobile was stopped at the intersection of Raritan Road @ Coleman Avenue for an equipment violation.  Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Federici located a hypodermic syringe on a passenger, Andrew Mellein.  Mellein was arrested, processed, and released pending a Municipal Court appearance.  The driver was issued a motor vehicle summons for failure to maintain lamps.

E. North Avenue @ GSP 137 SB Ramp

Arrested: Zachary Anfuso, 20, Matawan

Arrested by: Det. Spencer Durkin

Charges:  Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance(Heroin); Possession of Paraphernalia

Remarks:  A 2005 BMW was stopped at the intersection of E. North Avenue @ the GSP 137 SB Ramp for failure to maintain lane.  Following an investigation at the scene, Det. Durkin located heroin inside the vehicle.  The driver, Zachary Anfuso, was arrested, processed, and released pending a Superior Court appearance.  Anfuso was also issued motor vehicle summonses for driving while suspended, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, and failure to maintain lane.

Centennial Avenue @ Raritan Road

Arrested: Kurt Williams, 21, Rahway

Arrested by: Ptl. Daniel Donnerstag

Charges: Possession of Marijuana(under 50g); Possession of Paraphernalia

Remarks:   A 2006 Nissan was stopped at the intersection of Centennial Avenue @ Raritan Road for an equipment violation.  Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Donnerstag located marijuana on a passenger, Kurt Williams.  Williams was arrested, processed, and released pending a Municipal Court appearance.  The driver was issued a summons for failing to maintain lamps.

W. South Avenue @ W. Lincoln Avenue

Arrested: Andrew Graner, 24, Clark

Arrested by: Ptl. Shayne Temple

Charges: Driving While Intoxicated; Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance(Heroin); Possession of Paraphernalia

Remarks: A 2001 Toyota was stopped at the intersection of W. South Avenue @ W. Lincoln Avenue for delaying traffic.  Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Temple determined that the driver, Andrew Graner, was driving while intoxicated.  Graner was arrested, and transported to Cranford Police Headquarters.  Once back at headquarters, Ptl. Temple located heroin on Graner.  Graner was processed, and released to a friend pending a Superior Court appearance.  Graner was issued motor vehicle summonses for driving while intoxicated, delaying traffic, careless driving, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

Moen Avenue @ Jackson Drive

Arrested: Priscilla Canales, 20, Parsippany

Arrested: Danielle Gibilisco, 20, Roselle

Arrested by: Ptl. Brian Lopez

Charges: Possession of a Marijuana(under 50g); Possession of Paraphernalia; Contempt of Court

Remarks:  A 1998 Chevrolet was stopped at the intersection of Moen Avenue @ Jackson Drive for a seatbelt violation.  Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Lopez located marijuana on the driver, Danielle Gibilisco.  Ptl. Lopez also determined that a passenger, Priscilla Canales, had an active traffic warrant out of Paterson.  Gibilsco was arrested, processed, and released pending a Municipal Court appearance.  Canales was released on her own recognizance from the Patterson Warrant.

Raritan Road @ Commerce Drive

Arrested: Ryland Ungerer, 19, Roselle

Arrested: Al-Hassan Warity, 19, Linden

Arrested by: Ptl. Brian Lopez

Charges: Possession of a Weapon(Pellet Gun); Possession of Marijuana(under 50g); Possession of Paraphernalia

Remarks: A 1995 Honda was stopped at the intersection of Raritan Road @ Commerce Drive for a seatbelt violation.  Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Lopez located marijuana and a pellet gun inside the vehicle.  The driver, Ryland Ungerer, and a passenger, Al-Hassan Warity, were arrested processed and released pending a Superior Court appearance. Ungerer was issued a motor vehicle summons for possessing a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.  Warity was issued a summons for failure to wear a seatbelt.

Centennial Avenue @ Wall Street

Arrested: Karan Patel, 29, Cumberland, RI

Arrested by: Ptl. Timothy Handy

Charges: Driving While Intoxicated

Remarks: A 2009 Toyota was stopped at the intersection of Centennial Avenue @ Wall Street for reckless driving.  Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Handy determined that the driver, Karan Patel, was driving while intoxicated.  Patel was arrested, processed, and released to a family member pending a Municipal Court appearance.  Patel was issued motor vehicle summonses for driving while intoxicated, refusing to submit to chemical testing, reckless driving, possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, driving while suspended, and failure to exhibit documents.

 

April 22, 2017  6:35 p.m.

Arrested:  Patrick Thompson Jr., 28, Plainfield

Arrested by: Ptl. Jason D’Agostino

Charges: Possession of Marijuana(over 50g); Possession of Paraphernalia

Remarks: A 2009 Dodge was stopped at the intersection of E. North Avenue @ GSP NB Ramp for a turn signal violation.  Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. D’Agostino located marijuana, and marijuana edibles inside the vehicle.  The driver, Patrick Thompson Jr., was arrested, processed, and released pending a Superior Court appearance.  Thompson was issued motor vehicle summonses for failing to signal, failure to maintain lamps, and possessing a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
