CRANFORD - On Thursday at approximately 12:20 p.m., Patrolman Matthew Siessel conducted a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Bloomingdale Avenue and Elizabeth Avenue for a view obstruction.
Following an investigation on scene, Ptl. Siessel arrested the driver, Dominque Williams (25 y/o, Bermuda), for suspected marijuana found inside the vehicle. Williams, who was renting a Cranford home on Bloomingdale Avenue, was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date.
A follow-up investigation by Det. Robert Jordan of the Cranford Police Detective Bureau led back to the Bloomingdale Avenue home in Cranford where detectives eventually seized over 15lbs. of packaged marijuana and cash. In connection with this seizure, Det. Jordan arrested a second renter at the address, Cole Hill (25 y/o, Alabama), for Distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in a School Zone and Possession of Marijuana. Hill was processed at Cranford Police HQ and was provided with an upcoming Superior Court appearance date.
The investigation remains ongoing as the Cranford Police Department works with other federal agencies.
