Roselle Park Loves ARTS! is proud to present their newest feature for this year’s Arts Festival: Roselle Park Loves Shorts! International Film Festival.  Over 100 short films from around the world will be viewed on Saturday, September 24th during the arts festival at two locations, the Casano Community Center and the Roselle Park Veterans Memorial Library on Chestnut Street, beginning at 12:15pm. Admission is free and viewers will be able to see first rate and award winning narrative, animation, documentary and experimental short films. Special attention is placed on the student and teen-aged filmmaker.  An awards show for “best” in each category will take place at the bandstand at 6:00pm.  Attendees of the short films will also be given the opportunity to judge for the “Audience” short film award.

A special “sneek peek” film screening will take place on Friday, September 23, at Climax Brewing Company 112 Valley Road in Roselle Park during their regular taste and tours from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.

One filmmaker from the Ukranie who also resides in Union City, New Jersey, Sashko Danylenko, was selected for his film “Bike Portraits.”  The Indie filmmaker mixes folk and contemporary, nature and digital in his works. He creates magic worlds with colorful characters and extraordinary allegories. Films by Sashko Danylenko are popular on the web and take part in a lot of international film festivals.
