WESTFIELD NJ — Farinolio, a Tuscan bakery-café in Downtown Westfield, opened for the first time Tuesday for lunch.
Located at 121 East Broad St. where Let’s YO! once was, the shop offers breakfast items (such as croissants in flavors including chocolate and ham-and-cheese), lunch (including flat breads topped with tomatoes and mozzarella and mortadella sandwiches), snacks, sweets, espresso drinks and wine by the bottle.
Baked goods are available to take home.
“It’s been in the works for five years,” said Annette Colbertaldo, who owns Farinolio with husband Francesco Colbertaldo and Tonino Salvatori, a baker. “We chose Westfield because of the vibrancy and the life of this town.”
During Farinolio’s soft opening this week, it is only open a few hours each day. Times are being posted on the shop’s Facebook page. The café plans to hold a grand opening celebration soon
