CRANFORD, NJ - UPDATE 5:26 p.m.

State police have identified the victim as Raymond Andreola, 28, of Pittston, Pennsylvania. Andreola was formerly from Milltown, N.J.

A fatal accident occurred Friday morning on the Garden State Parkway North at 6:03 a.m. at Exit 137, causing backups of more than 10 miles during rush hour.

"A single car, a Toyota sedan, went off roadway and struck a tree," Trooper Alejandro Goez of the New Jersey State Police said. "The male driver was pronounced dead on scene."

The name of the victim has not yet been released, as the NJ State Police are waiting on notification of the next of kin, according to Goez.

All lane closures were opened at 10 a.m. following the end on the investigation.

CRANFORD - The Cranford High School Spring Art Show was held at the Cranford Public Library, on Tuesday. 

From 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., artwork from classes such as crafts, graphic design, photography, and drawing was on display for the public to promote the creative and unique projects done by students throughout the school year.
