CRANFORD, NJ- Injuries are reported following a multi-car crash on the Garden State Parkway near exit 137, according to New Jersey State Police.

According to Major Bryan Polite with the NJ State Police, at least three cars were involved with multiple injuries.

"There were multiple injuries, but none were life-threatening," Polite said. "The injured people were transported to a university hospital."

The accident occurred at 1:35 p.m.. After the multi-car crash, two vehicles went into the woods with two passengers pinned in one of the cars.

No lane closure is reported, according to Trooper Gene Hong.

No further information is available at this time as the investigation is ongoing, Polite said.
