Wardlaw+Hartridge Athletes, Teams Celebrate at Rams Recognition Night

EDISON, NJ -- The W+H athletic department held Rams Recognition Night, its annual awards dinner, to celebrate the accomplishments of the athletes and teams, on May 23 in the AP Room.

Seven senior athletes who compiled at least nine varsity letters received W+H blankets: Hannah Yates of Piscataway, Emanuel Arriaza of Plainfield, Priya Golding of North Plainfield, Steven Bessett of Scotch Plains,, Brittney Wilson of North Plainfield, Jason Yin of Scotch Plains and Suraj Chandran of Edison. Cross country coach Rick Riepl was named Coach of the Year and the girls' volleyball team received the Highest GPA Award.

Athletes who earned four varsity letters in a sport received special silver plates: Emanuel Arriaza of Plainfield, Danielle Bacalhau of Colonia, Steven Bessette of Scotch Plains, Lauryn Buencamino of North Brunswick, Aaliah Burney of Sewaren, Ovidio Chavez of Elizabeth, Hanson Gao of Edison, Priya Golding of North Plainfield, Jasjeet Kandola of Carteret, Lauren Kisare of Bridgewater, Tiffany Le of South Plainfield, Shaun Martinez of Woodbridge, Kevin Nader of Bernardsville, Shivam Patel of Edison, Mia Reyes of Piscataway, Soorya Srinivas of Edison, CJ Stueck of Scotch Plains, Audrey Vu of Colonia, Brittney Wilson of North Plainfield, Hannah Yates of Piscataway, and Jason Yin of Scotch Plains.

CJ Stueck and Audrey Vu delivered meaningful speeches with many interesting stories about their experiences as W+H athletes.

The head coaches also handed out their individual team awards. 

The Wardlaw-Hartridge School in Edison is Central Jersey’s premier PreK-12 independent school. The campus is located at 1295 Inman Avenue in North Edison, near the Scotch Plains border and just five miles from downtown Westfield.
