EDISON, NJ -- Members of the Class of 2018 at The Wardlaw+Hartridge School in Edison joined their parents, family, faculty and staff members and administrators at the annual Senior Farewell Dinner on Monday, June 4, in the AP Room. The event was catered by Sage Dining Services.

Dr. Bob Bowman, Assistant Head of School for Upper School, welcomed the guests and Andrew Webster, Head of School, made opening remarks. Priya Golding of North Plainfield performed an acoustic vocal solo and the sax quartet of Suraj Chandran of Edison, Ovidio Chavez of Elizabeth, Ray Huang of Edison and Stanislav DeLaurentiis of Plainfield played Bohemian Rhapsody during the early part of the dinner hour.

Classmates Simu Singh of Monroe, Cathy Bi of Edison and Soorya Srinivas of Edison made speeches about the Past, Present and Future, respectively. CJ Stueck of Scotch Plains, Student Council President, led a Senior Toast to Teachers and Suraj Chandran, Senior Class President, led a Senior Toast to Parents. The seniors also presented a framed class photo to Dr. Bowman.

Students who excelled in their internship and thesis projects were recognized, along with the Global Scholars in the Class of 2018. The senior departmental subject awards for outstanding achievement in academics, athletics and the arts followed.

Senior Awards of Distinction were presented to Hannah Yates of Piscataway (W-H Pin), Suraj Chandran (Alumni Association Award), Tiffany Le of South Plainfield (Parents' Association Award), Suraj Chandran (Stevenson Award), Audrey Vu of Colonia (Headmaster's Cup) and Cathy Bi (Upper School Head's Award).

The Wardlaw+Hartridge School is a private, nonsectarian, coeducational day school located in Edison, New Jersey, United States, serving students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade.

Spring Art Show Displays Students' Creativity

CRANFORD - The Cranford High School Spring Art Show was held at the Cranford Public Library, on Tuesday. 

From 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., artwork from classes such as crafts, graphic design, photography, and drawing was on display for the public to promote the creative and unique projects done by students throughout the school year.
