WESTFIELD, NJ — Upscale women’s clothing company Eileen Fisher notified customers this weekend by mail that it will close its shop on Elm Street in Downtown Westfield before the end of January.
“It’s been a great 10 years, and we want to thank you for shopping with us and being part of our Eileen Fisher community,” the letter reads.
Although the letter announces the closing date as Jan. 27, store employees said the actual closing date will be Jan. 24. Before then, the team will show their appreciation to customers for their loyal support with a final celebration on Jan. 16. Light refreshments will be served.
The Westfield shop is the last stand-alone Eileen Fisher in New Jersey. Employees there said they were told no new shops would open in the state, making its six Manhattan shops the nearest to anyone in the area.
Eileen Fisher clothing and accessories are also sold locally at Lord & Taylor in Downtown Westfield.
