Arrested: Kenneth Meier, 25, Cranford

Arrested by: Ptl Ryan Gerrity

Charges: Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (Cocaine), Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (Heroin), Possession of Paraphernalia

Remarks: A 2002 Jeep was stopped on Centennial Avenue for having a brake light out. Following an investigation the driver, Kenneth Meier, was found to be in possession of crack cocaine, heroin, and paraphernalia. Meier was arrested, charged, and released pending a Superior Court hearing. Meier was also issued motor vehicle summonses for possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, improper maintenance of lamps, and failure to exhibit documents.

South Avenue at Centennial

Arrested: Kerri Fernley, 25, Byram

Arrested by: Ptl. Brian Trotter

Charges: Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (heroin), Possession of Under 50 Grams of Marijuana, Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe, Possession of Paraphernalia

Remarks: A 2013 Nissan was stopped for delaying traffic. Following an investigation the driver, Kerri Fernley, was found to be in possession of heroin, marijuana, and a hypodermic syringe. Fernley was arrested, charged, and released pending a Superior Court hearing. Fernley was also issued motor vehicle summonses for possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle and delaying traffic.

 

3. 11/10/2017 6:45 p.m.

North Avenue East at carpenter Place

Arrested: Raymand Johnson, 34, Sparta

Arrested by: Ptl. Jason D’Agostino

Charges: Possession of Under 50 Grams of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia

Remarks: A 2012 Nissan was stopped for a seat belt violation. Following an investigation the driver, Raymand Johnson, was found to be in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. Johnson was arrested, charged, and released pending a Municipal Court hearing. Johnson was also issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to wear a seatbelt and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

North Avenue East at Elizabeth Avenue

Arrested:  Arley Rojas, 56, Westfield

Arrested by: Ptl Jason D’Agostino

Charges: Driving While Intoxicated

Remarks: Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident involving an overturned vehicle. Following an investigation it was learned that the driver of the vehicle, Arley Rojas, lost control of his vehicle and struck a utility pole. Rojas was also found to be intoxicated. He was transported to University Hospital for injuries suffered in the collision and later issued motor vehicle summonses for Driving While Intoxicated, Careless Driving, Failure to Maintain a Lane, and Delaying Traffic.

Centennial Avenue at Cayuga Place

Arrested: Jorge Esquivel-Rivera, 21, Woodbridge

Arrested by: Ptl. Jason D’Agostino

Charges: Driving While Intoxicated

Remarks: Police responded to a report of a driver who was passed out behind the wheel of a motor vehicle. Following an investigation the driver of the vehicle, Esquivel-Rivera, was arrested, charged and released pending a Municipal Court hearing.

 

6. 11/15/2017 2:37 p.m.

Raritan Road at Centennial Avenue

Arrested: Paige Gaglianese, 25, East Orange

Arrested by: Ptl. Robert Jordan

Charges: Possession of Under 50 Grams of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia

Remarks: A 2015 Chevrolet was stopped for a seatbelt violation. Following an investigation it was determined that the driver, Paige Gaglianese, was in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. Galianese was arrested, processed, and released pending a municipal court hearing. Gaglianese was also issued motor vehicle summonses for possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, driving while suspended, and not wearing a seatbelt.

 

7. 11/16/2017 11 p.m.

Centennial Avenue at Hayes Street

Arrested: Kasim Holmes, 36, Irvington

Arrested by: Ptl Gregory Federici

Charges: Possession of Under 50 Grams of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia

Remarks: A  2009 Nissan was stopped for failure to signal. Following an investigation the passenger, Kasim Holmes, was found to be in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. Holmes was arrested, charged, and released pending a municipal court hearing. Holmes was also issued motor vehicle summonses for failing to signal and having a vision obstruction.
