4th of July Festivities in Cranford

CRANFORD - In a change of tradition, the annual Cranford Fireworks Display will be held on Tuesday, July 2nd at Nomahegan Park, Cranford, NJ.

The July 2nd celebration will begin at 5:30 p.m. with food vendors, games, and amusement rides. The fireworks display is expected to start around 9:15 p.m. Heavy traffic is expected and residents are urged to walk or car pool if possible. Limited parking is available across the street at Union County College. 

On July 4th, festivities will begin at 9:00 a.m. with canoe races scheduled at the Cranford Canoe Club. Registration at the Canoe Club will open at 8:30 a.m. before the races. Simultaneously, the Cranford Jaycees will hold their Annual Firecracker Run beginning with a one-mile Fun Run at 8:30 a.m. and a four-miler at 9:00 a.m. at Nomahegan Park. For more info regarding registration and the race, go to www.cranfordjaycees.com
