Celebrate World Yoga Day at the Y

The Westfield Area YMCA invites the community to celebrate World Yoga Day on Friday, Feb. 23, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Weldon Room located at the Main Y Facility, 220 Clark Street. Leave the cold and brittle winter behind and join us as we release and renew.

The dryness of winter tends to close us in. Experience a flow of asanas, breathing, and relaxation designed to enhance and fuel well being. Join your yoga community, learn Ayurvedic recommendations for the season, share Indian snacks and enjoy deep relaxation time. This special event is appropriate for first-time attendees as well as regular practitioners.

A $20 contribution benefits the Y’s Annual Support Campaign. Thanks to the Annual Support Campaign, each year the Westfield Area Y provides nearly $400,000 in financial assistance to individuals and families in need to enable their participation at the Y.  The majority of scholarship awards enable children to attend child care and day camp programs.

Advance registration is recommended.  Register online at www.westfieldynj.org or in-person at the Main Y Facility.  Please contact Jean White at 908-301-YMCA (9622) x246 or jwhite@westfieldynj.org with any questions.
