Friends of the Cranford Public Library Used Book Sale

Looking for some good reading at bargain prices? The Friends of the Cranford Public Library invite you to visit their used book sale in the Friendly Book Cellar at the Cranford Public Library, Wednesday, October 11, 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Thursday and Friday, October 12 and 13, 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday, October 14, 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Items for sale include more than 10,000 adult and children’s books, as well as CDs, DVDs, and recorded books. Prices range from $.25 to $2.00, except for a few specially marked items. Saturday is Bag Day; fill a bag with books for just $8.00. The library is located at 224 Walnut Avenue. Entrance to the sale is through the side door, just off the main parking lot. The sale is wheelchair accessible. Proceeds benefit the library.

NJ Transit Service To Resume Monday After Friday's Derailment in Union

UNION, NJ – New Jersey Transit reports the Raritan Valley Line trains will resume regular weekday service between Cranford and Newark and High Bridge and Raritan on Monday.  Train service was suspended over the weekend after the freight train derailment in Union on Friday afternoon.
