CRANFORD, NJ - Cranford residents Gordon Wells and Mike Glackin will be sharing their musical talents with fellow residents at the Cranford Library in February.

Wells, who last performed at the library in 2012, will be playing a variety of musical genres on his pedal steel guitar. He will also talk about unique instrument and take questions from the audience.

Glackin has been a bagpiper for 25 years and competed in the 2015 World Championships in Scotland. Similar to Wells, Glackin will play a few tunes, talk about the bagpipes and answer questions from the audience.

February Adult Programs at Cranford Public Library

New Monthly Films - Wednesday, February 1 at 7 p.m.**BULLSEYE

Monthly film screenings are held on the first Wednesday of the month at the Cranford Community Center. Movies will be chosen from a recently released DVD. Contact the library for specific film titles. No registration is required.

Trivia Night - Thursday, February 2 at 7 p.m.

Hosted by the Friends of the Cranford Library, teams will test their trivia knowledge and have some fun. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team. Registration is required and can be done here.

Saturday Morning Adult Craft - February 4 at 11 a.m.

This month's craft is a puzzle heart wreath. Sponsored by the Friends of the Cranford Public Library. Space is limited, so register here.

Adults Create - Tuesday, February 7 at 7 p.m.**STANDARD

A fun evening of crafting and conversation is sponsored by the Friends of the Cranford Public Library. All supplies will be provided. Space is limited. Register here.

Jazz Quintet - Wednesday, February 8 at 8 p.m.

This jazz concert will be led by musician and circulation assistant at the East Orange Public Library, Mark Turner and is sponsored by the Friends of the Cranford Public Library. Registration is recommended and can be done here.

International Film Screening - Monday, February 13 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Film screenings take place at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on the second Monday of the month. Contact the library for specific titles. Sponsored by the Friends of the Cranford Public Library. No registration is required.

Literary Café - Saturday, February 18 at 10:15 a.m. **BULLSEYE

Literary Café is a chance to chat about your favorite recent reads and learn about others' favorites, too. Admission is free and all are welcome. Refreshments are sponsored by the Friends of the Cranford Public Library. The Literary Café is held in the library's Raddin Room and online.

Theater Project - Saturday, February 18 at 2 p.m.

Live play readings from the Theater Project are back in person! New Jersey’s own Theater Project will present a script-in-hand reading of an original short play. The reading will be followed by a question and answer session with the audience, director, playwright and cast. Sponsored by the Friends of the Cranford Public Library and the HEART Grant.

Pedal Steel Guitar Concert - Tuesday, February 21 at 7 p.m.

Cranford resident Gordon Wells returns to the Cranford Library for a Pedal Steel Guitar concert that will span a variety of genres. Registration is recommended and can be done here.

Bagpipe Concert - Saturday, February 25 at 11 a.m.

From Jazz to Soul (aka From Ella To Aretha) Concert - Tuesday, February 28 at 7 p.m.

Vocalist Rhonda Denet will share songs from the 30s through the 70s, paying tribute to Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Nancy Wilson, Etta James, Martha & The Vandellas, Mary Wells, Gladys Knight and Aretha Franklin.
