CRANFORD - PSE&G has notified the Township that it will be trimming trees on portions of four roads: Lincoln, Walnut, Chester Lang, and Lexington in the near future.
Every affected homeowner will receive a vegetation management notice and a door knocker from PSE&G not less than 7 days and not greater than 45 days before trimming.
According to PSE&G, vegetation management is mandated by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU) to happen every four years, and the four-year trimming cycle is on the Aldene substation circuit. PSE&G wanted to make it clear that the vegetation management is not part of the 69Kv project that was tabled last year. That project remains on hold.
