CRANFORD - The Cranford Father's Day tradition continues with the annual Leonard Snyder Memorial Fishing Derby, but for the first time ever, it's going virtual.

This year, you can fish anywhere at any time on Father's Day, Sunday, June 21. Post a picture of your catch with its measurements on the event page. The winners by age group will be announced the next day. The event is sponsored by Cranford Jaycees.

The Derby is named after Leonard J. Synder, a Cranford resident and Jaycee who died in the World Trade Center attacks on 9/11. He organized the event for several years, and the Jaycees have kept it going in his honor. You can register for the event at the following link: bit.ly/JayceesFish
