Cranford Township, High School Rank High on Niche's 2017 "Best in New Jersey" Lists

CRANFORD, NJ- Niche, an online ranking system for towns, cities, schools and more has ranked Cranford as No. 81 on its 2017 “Best Suburbs to live in New Jersey” list.

The town was also ranked No. 92 on Niche’s 2017 “Best Places to Live in New Jersey” list. Cranford was given an A rating, with an A+ for public schools, B for housing, B for jobs, A- for crime and safety, and a C- for cost of living. The full report card for the town can be read here.

The website reads, “The 2017 Niche rankings are based on rigorous analysis of crime, public schools, cost of living, job opportunities, and local amenities using data from the U.S. Census, FBI, BLS, CDC, and other sources to compare cities, towns, and neighborhoods across the U.S."

Cranford High School was named No. 88 for “Best Public High Schools in New Jersey.” Niche awarded the school an A overall ranking, with an A for academics, A for teachers, A for college readiness, B- for clubs and activities, A- for administration, and a C+ for sports. The website reads, “The Niche 2017 K-12 Rankings are based on rigorous analysis of academic and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education along with test scores, college data, and ratings collected from millions of Niche users. Because we have the most comprehensive data in the industry, we're able to provide a more comprehensive suite of rankings across all school types.”

The Cranford Public School District was ranked No. 3 out of 242 schools for the safest school district in New Jersey, No. 34 out of 242 schools for the best places to teach in New Jersey, and No. 40 out of 245 schools for the best school districts in New Jersey.
