CRANFORD, NJ – The Cranford Recreation Department offers children between ages four and six the opportunity to enrich their reading with Pipsqueak Players.
Pipsqueak Players is a reading enrichment program that aims to improve reading skills through performance, including improve, repetition, word recognition and character work. The program culminates in a staged reading of a picture book.
According to the Pipsqueak Players, the program aims to help children by building confidence, spurring creativity, exploring emotions and fostering a love of reading.
The program begins on Wednesday, Jan. 10 from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. and runs for four weeks. A second program will begin on Wednesday. Jan. 7 from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
