For those unable to find the right ingredients in grocery stores or are staying home to follow social distancing guidelines during these unprecedented times, New Jersey-based sustainable meat distributor D’Artagnan is rolling out a delivery service to Cranford.
For the immediate future, all delivery fees will be waived. This temporary program will bring the same humanely-raised, hormone-free beef, poultry, mushrooms and game used by the country’s top chefs including, Tom Colicchio, Daniel Boulud and Bobby Flay, directly and safely to residents’ doorsteps.
“In times of crisis, D’Artagnan’s core value remains the same – to bring food raised right to American tables,” says D’Artagnan President Andy Wertheim. “We’re trying to do our part by providing consumers safe and convenient access to chef-quality meats, as well as bring comfort to our neighbors by addressing their very real shopping challenges.
WHAT: A temporary and free delivery service to local residents offering chef-approved beef, poultry, game and mushrooms from D’Artagnan. D’Artagnan will deploy its fleet of refrigerated trucks and employees that typically service restaurants to make weekly deliveries to its neighbors within a two-hour delivery window. D’Artagnan has expanded its program offering by partnering with other quality producers including Samuels & Sons and White Toque to include fish, whole grains and frozen desserts.
WHY: Give local residents access to quality food in a convenient and safe manner, while supporting local purveyors and protecting the supply chain.
WHEN: Cranford deliveries will be scheduled every Friday within a two-hour delivery window (timeframe to be confirmed the day before); The service will be offered as long as needed.
D’Artagnan is the nation’s leading purveyor of all-natural and organic poultry, game, free-range meat, foie gras, charcuterie, wild mushrooms and truffles. Since its inception, D’Artagnan has grown from a one truck and two employee business to a nationally recognized food brand by developing a network of independent farmers that abide by the strictest standards to deliver the highest quality, best tasting, conscientiously raised meat possible. Today, D’Artagnan remains dedicated to putting only the finest meats on the tables of American gastronomes and is widely recognized for its superior quality and uncompromising standards.
