River & Rail Cantina to Partner with Jam Kancer in the Kan Foundation for Fundraiser

CRANFORD, NJ – River & Rail Cantina will host an event fundraiser for the Jam Kancer in the Kan Foundation, a foundation that benefits patients affected with cancer and their loved ones, this month. To celebrate the fundraiser, the restaurant will debut a special cocktail.

The cocktail, titled “The Jammerita,” will be a 13 oz. drink with Sauza Blue Tequila, agave, lime juice, Grand Mariner, homemade sangria and fruit. A portion of the proceeds of the drink sold through September 23 will be donated to the Jam Kancer in the Kan Foundation.

“We all know someone who has been affected by cancer, and having the support of a true grassroots organization like Jam Kancer In the Kan means a great deal to a family in its time of need,” John Roder, Co-Owner of River & Rail, said. “Jam Kancer In the Kan is an organization run solely by volunteers which allows all donations to go towards families fighting cancer. We are proud to host the foundation’s inaugural event in Cranford and invite the community to come support their efforts and truly make a difference for a family in crisis.”

The foundation will offer 100 River & Rail VIP tickets in exchange for a $50 donation. The VIP ticket provides a buffet and two drink tickets for house magaritas, wine or draft beer. Additionally, Kan Jame games for kids and adults will be set up with raffles and prizes, including tickets for the Jets, Giants and Yankess, a bicycle and two snowboards.

“We’re thrilled that the owners of River & Rail Cantina generously reached out to us to host an event on behalf of the Foundation and help raise funds to benefit local families dealing with a cancer prognosis”, Jamey Crimmins, Co-Founder, Jam Kancer In The Kan Foundation, said.. “No-one wants to get that phone call that a loved one has been diagnosed with cancer and we are grateful for the platform to share the mission of the Jam Kancer In The Kan movement with our neighbors in Cranford and beyond”.
