CRANFORD - Mayor Patrick Giblin announced during his COVID-19 update on Wednesday that following no new positive cases of COVID-19 in Cranford on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, Tuesday saw two new cases and Wednesday an additional four.
Cranford's total positive cases is now at 405 and there have been 75 fatalities. 62 of the 75 deaths have come from residents living in long-term case facilities and 13 have come from residents living in the community.
Overall, Union County had 128 new positive cases of COVID-19 and 32 new deaths on Wednesday, totaling 13,604 positive tests and 800 deaths. The State of New Jersey had 1,513 new cases and 308 new deaths, bringing the total number to 131,890 positive tests, and 8,549 deaths.
