CRANFORD - 26 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Cranford since February 11, according to the Township of Cranford. Currently, there are 53 active cases in town.

Five weeks ago, active cases in Cranford were at 125. The following three weeks, active case numbers were 93, 65, and 59

The 26 new positives bring Cranford's total to 1,190 since the first reported case on March 17. With no new fatalities, the total remains at 105. Of the 105, 84 were residents living in one of Cranford's long-term care facilities, while 21 were residents living in the community.

To protect the private medical information of these individuals, Cranford will not be releasing additional information about these cases. Residents are asked to respect the impacted residents right to privacy based on the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
