CRANFORD - Bloomingdale Avenue School (BAS) has announced that Donna Bober has been selected as the 2019-2020 Educational Services Professional of the Year.

Mrs. Bober is a kindergarten classroom assistant and lunch aide at Bloomingdale Avenue School, where she has worked for nearly 20 years. According to BAS Principal Lourdes Murphy, Mrs. Bober uses her knowledge to support students academically, as well as socially/emotionally.

"The support Mrs. Bober provides is seamless, anticipating the needs of the students," said Murphy. "She helps students see their inner strengths, while helping them problem solve. Mrs. Bober handles the children with a caring and loving authority, which serves her well, especially as a lunch aide. She effectively communicates with students, as well as the adults throughout the building."

"In addition, Mrs. Bober continues to volunteer countless hours for numerous projects within the school. Her willingness to put in the extra time really makes a difference within our school community.
