CRANFORD - At the January 27 Cranford Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Dr. Scott Rubin announced that Dr. Matthew Jennings has been named the new Director of Human Resources. Dr. Jennings takes over for Dr. Paul Ward, who retired in December.
Dr. Jennings earned his B.A. from Rutgers University, has an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from Gratz College, an M.A. in Educational Administration and Supervision from Rutgers University and received his Doctorate in Educational Administration from Rutgers University.
According to Dr. Rubin, some of his career highlights include having served as a special education teacher and curriculum resource teacher at South Brunswick Public Schools, a Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction and Director of Student Services at New Egypt Public Schools in Plumstead, NJ, served as an Assistant Superintendent of Schools in Berkeley Heights Schools, was Superintendent of Schools for 12 years at Alexandria Townships Schools and was most recently a Superintendent of Schools and Director of Student Services in Bloomingdale, NJ.
Dr. Jennings has served as an adjunct professor in the Graduate schools of Education at both Trenton State College and Rutgers University. He has several publications on education and has presented many times nationally, and even internationally.
