CRANFORD - The Cranford Board of Education held its reorganization meeting on Monday night which saw the swearing in of Brett Dreyer, Nicole Sherrin Kessler, and Patrick Lynch to the Board.
This past year's election featured six candidates (Dreyer, Kessler, Lynch, Brian McCarthy, Brian Lopez, and Veronica Doyle) vying for three seats on the Board. Incumbents Kessler and Lynch won with 3,297 and 2,796 votes, respectively, while Dreyer, the newcomer, was the top vote-getter with 3,972. Dreyer takes over the seat previously held by McCarthy.
Also at the meeting, Kurt Petschow, Jr. and Lisa Carbone were nominated and selected as Board President and Vice President, respectively. This will be fifth year Petschow and Carbone serve in those positions.
