CRANFORD - Parents and guardians of Cranford High School students were notified of an early dismissal Wednesday morning due to a water pipe malfunction.

According to the notification, at approximately 10:10 am, there was a water pipe malfunction at Cranford High School, and unfortunately, the pipe needed additional repair work, which required that the water main be shut down. School cannot be in session with no access to water, which prompted the early dismissal.

All afterschool activities held at Cranford High School are canceled today. Participants in events that are taking place at other venues will still be held and individual advisors will reach out to participants for further information.

TAPinto Cranford reached out to the office of the superintendent about tomorrow's school schedule status, but no determination has been made as of 12:30 p.m. A follow-up communication will be put out by the district once they receive an update on the issue.
