Arrested: Nika Gvintidze, 29, Linden; Giorgi Geperidze, 28, Linden

Arrested by: Ptl. Gregory Federici

Charges: Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance; Possession of Paraphernalia

Remarks: A 2012 Hyundai was stopped on Raritan Road and Coleman Avenue for not signaling a lane change. Following an investigation on scene, Ptl. Federici arrested the driver and a passenger, Nika Gvintidze and Giorgi Geperidze respectively, for possession of suspected heroin. They were both processed and provided with Superior Court appearance dates. In addition, Gvintidze was issued motor vehicle summonses for failing to signal a lane change, misuse of dealer plates and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

Walnut Avenue and Raritan Road

Arrested: Chrystoph Carranza, 31, Clark

Arrested by: Ptl. Christopher Gross

Charges: Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Remarks: A 2018 Honda was stopped on Walnut Avenue and Raritan Road for tinted windows. Following an investigation on scene, Ptl. Gross arrested the driver, Chrystoph Carranza, for possession of suspected MDMA. He was processed and provided with a Superior Court appearance date. In addition, Carranza was issued motor vehicle summonses for tinted windows, no seatbelt, no valid insurance card in his possession and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

Raritan Road

Arrested: Bryce Kinney, 22, Sayreville

Arrested by: Ptl. Jason D’Agostino

Charges: Possession of Prescription Legend Drugs; Possession of Under 50g (Marijuana); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Remarks: A 2003 Oldsmobile was stopped on Raritan Road for a headlight out. Following an investigation on scene, Ptl. D’Agostino arrested the driver, Bryce Kinney, for possession of suspected Xanax and marijuana. She was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. In addition, Kinney was issued motor vehicle summonses for maintenance of lamps and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

North Avenue East and Carpenter Place

Arrested: Donnell Amaker Jr., 22, Hillside; Khalif Hendry, 21, Hillside; Osaheni Omokaro, 22 Hillside

Arrested by: Ptl. John Rattigan

Charges: Possession of Over 50g (Marijuana); Possession of Paraphernalia

Remarks: A 2019 Hyundai was stopped on North Avenue East and Carpenter Place for a seatbelt violation. Following an investigation on scene, Ptl. Rattigan arrested the driver and two passengers, Donnell Amaker Jr., Khalif Hendry and Osaheni Omokaro respectively, for possession of suspected marijuana. They were all processed and provided with Municipal Court appearance dates. In addition, Amaker was issued motor vehicle summonses for failing to wear a seatbelt and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

North Avenue East and Elizabeth Avenue

Arrested: Ramon Johnson, 26, Newark

Arrested by: Ptl. Robert Chamra

Charges: Unlawful Possession of a Weapon

Remarks: A 2003 Nissan was stopped on North Avenue East and Elizabeth Avenue for driving without headlights on. Following an investigation on scene, Ptl. Chamra arrested the driver, Ramon Johnson, for unlawful possession of a weapon when the officer discovered a BB handgun under the driver’s seat. He was processed and provided with a Superior Court appearance date. In addition, Johnson was issued motor vehicle summonses for suspended driving, not having his headlights on and failure to signal a turn. Johnson was turned over to Essex County Sheriff’s Office on an active arrest warrant.
