Charges: Possession of Hypodermic Syringe; Hindering Apprehension
Remarks: A 2003 Ford was stopped on North Avenue East and the Garden State Parkway 137 Exchange for failing to signal a lane change. Following an investigation on scene, Ptl. Federici arrested a passenger, Daniel Brower, for hindering apprehension after he provided a false name and had active outstanding arrest warrants. In addition, he was also charged with having a hypodermic syringe in his possession. He was processed and turned over to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.

North Avenue East and Carpenter Place
Arrested: Daniel Salermo, 29, Linden
Arrested by: Ptl. Christopher Gross
Charges: Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Remarks: A 2005 Ford was stopped on North Avenue East and Carpenter Place for not signaling a lane change. Following an investigation on scene, Ptl. Gross arrested the driver, Daniel Salermo, for possession of suspected heroin found on him. He was processed and provided with a Superior Court appearance date. In addition, Salermo was issued motor vehicle summonses for not signaling a lane change, suspended driver, no valid insurance card in his possession and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
