Arrested: Mehtab Singh, 25, Roselle

Charges: Possession of Under 50g (Marijuana); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Remarks: A 2001 Mercedes-Benz was stopped on North Avenue East and the Garden State Parkway Exchange for erratic driving. Following an investigation on scene, Ptl. Gerrity arrested a passenger, Mehtab Singh, for possession of suspected marijuana. He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. In addition, the driver was issued motor vehicle summonses for failing to signal a lane change and for missing a mirror required on the vehicle.

1000 Block of Springfield Avenue

Arrested: Calvin Mottley Jr., 24, Roselle

Charges: Possession of Under 50g (Marijuana); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Remarks: Police units checked on a suspicious vehicle parked and occupied in a parking lot along Springfield Avenue. Following an investigation on scene, Ptl. Drew arrested the driver, Calvin Mottley Jr., for possession of suspected marijuana. He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. In addition, Mottley Jr. was issued a motor vehicle summons for possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

Raritan Road and Moen Avenue

Arrested: Jeannette Wright, 52, Roselle

Arrested by: Ptl. Ryan McSharry

Charges: Driving While Intoxicated (DWI)

Remarks: A 2017 Nissan was stopped on Raritan Road and Moen Avenue for erratic driving. Following an investigation on scene, Ptl. McSharry arrested the driver, Jeanette Wright, for driving while intoxicated. She was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. In addition, Wright was issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to maintain her lane, failure to use a turn signal and careless driving.

South Union Avenue and Woodlawn Avenue

Arrested: Elijahrah Rosendary, 20, Union

Charges: Possession of Under 50g (Marijuana); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Remarks: Police units were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle parked near South Union Avenue and Woodlawn Avenue. Following an investigation on scene, Ptl. D’Agostino arrested an occupant inside the vehicle, Elijahrah Rosendary, for possession of suspected marijuana. He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date.

Remarks: A 2000 Honda was stopped on North Avenue East and the Garden State Parkway Exchange for failing to observe a red traffic signal. Following an investigation on scene, Ptl. Gross arrested the driver, Cinque Jones, for possession of suspected marijuana. He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. In addition, Jones was issued motor vehicle summonses for failing to observe a red traffic signal, suspended driving, open container and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

Charges: Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Remarks: A 2004 Mercedes-Benz was stopped on Centennial Avenue and Raritan Road for a seatbelt violation. Following an investigation on scene, Ptl. Muhammad arrested the driver, Edward Zazzali, for possession of a suspected crack-cocaine. He was processed and provided with a Superior Court appearance date. In addition, Zazzali was issued motor vehicle summonses for a seatbelt violation and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

Charges: Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Remarks: A 2017 Kia was stopped on Centennial Avenue and the Garden State Parkway Exchange for failing to maintain its lane. Following an investigation on scene, Det. Durkin and Ptl. Federici arrested the driver and a passenger, Quinn Heald and Linnea Heald respectively, for possession of suspected heroin. They were both processed and provided with Superior Court appearance dates. In addition, Quinn Heald was issued motor vehicle summonses for suspended driving, careless driving and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

Charges: Shoplifting

Remarks: Police units responded to a South Avenue West business on a report of a shoplifter. Following an investigation, Ptl. LoForte arrested an individual, Tomasz Pieta, for shoplifting items from the establishment. He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. Pieta was turned over to the Hillside Police Department where he had several active arrest warrants.

D’Agostino arrested the driver, Joseph Baez, for distribution and possession of suspected marijuana. He was processed and provided with a Superior Court appearance date. In addition, Baez was issued motor vehicle summonses for improper use of multibeam headlamps and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
