The Cranford Police released the following statement to TAPinto Cranford.
"Although we have no conclusive evidence that ridesharing firms have decreased our DWI arrests, it seems like common sense. Presumably, people will be less tempted to drink and drive if they have an easier and safer way to get home after a night out drinking. The key to deterring impaired driving is highly visible enforcement. We are committed to this goal and make it a point to be actively involved in nationwide campaigns, such as “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” to increase awareness and prevent drivers from operating a vehicle impaired."
