CRANFORD - Police responded to an emergency 911 call at 1:38 p.m. on Thursday reporting an unknown male had entered a home on the 200 Block of Walnut Avenue. 

According to the Cranford Police Department, police units arrived quickly on scene and placed two males under arrest in connection with the investigation. Miguel Ramirez-Valladare, 31 years-old from North Plainfield, was processed and charged with Criminal Trespass. A second male, Miguel Ayala, 28 years-old from Plainfield, who was standing outside the home was processed and charged with Obstruction when he gave police a false name. Both individuals were provided with pending Superior Court appearance dates. 

Ramirez-Valladare was turned over to the Middlesex County Sherriff’s Department after confirming he had arrest warrants out of Middlesex County and South Plainfield, police said. Ayala was confirmed to have arrest warrants out of Plainfield and Berkeley Heights, police said.

Sophia Elkhoury, a resident of the home, took to Facebook to warn the community and asks if anyone has cameras that show Ramirez-Valladare and Ayala looking into other homes or trying to get in to reach out to her.
