Two Busted in Westfield for Intent to Distribute Heroin and Crack Cocaine, According to Police

WESTFIELD, NJ — Two people were arrested after Westfield police who pulled over a car for speeding Saturday evening found 187 folds of heroin and 23 bags of crack cocaine inside, according to Police Chief David Wayman.

The incident took place at about 5:18 p.m. on Sept. 2 when cops pulled over a White Mitsubishi SUV for speeding in the area of Lawrence Avenue and East Dudley Avenue, according to police. Andrew Benjamin, 24, of Plainfield and Tylah Boyce, 18, of Plainfield were both charged with possession of CDS heroin with intent to distribute, possession of CDS cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of CDS heroin and possession of CDS cocaine.

Boyce was further charged with obstruction of the administration of law after providing officers on scene with false information, police said.

Benjamin additionally had three outstanding warrant for his arrest totaling $3,750.00 and received numerous motor vehicle summonses, according to police.
