CRANFORD - Congratulations to this week’s Cranford High School Athlete of the Week, Catarina Guimaraes.

Guimaraes is a freshman sprinter on the winter and spring track and field teams who has immediately stepped into a varsity role. She has personal best times of 8.78 seconds in the 55m dash and 32 seconds in the 200m dash and is looking to build upon those accomplishments this spring.

"For the spring, I want to get sub-15, low 14s (seconds) for the 100 (meter sprint)." said Guimaraes. "I also want to get past four meters in the long jump."
