CRANFORD - Registration for The Cranford Police Athletic League (PAL) fall sports - Tackle, Flag, and Cheerleading - is on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Traditionally, Fall Sports Registration opens on Memorial Day and extends the enrollment period through Independence Day.  As a result of the fluid circumstances and restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the PAL will be delaying its registration open date until more details emerge from its federal, state and local partners. Specifically, the PAL will be following guidance set forth by the State of New Jersey, the Township of Cranford, the Cranford Board of Education, the NJSIAA, and of course, the New Jersey Suburban Youth Football League (NJSYFL). In the past, seasons would begin in mid-August and extend until late October/early November.

The Cranford PAL will be closely monitoring any developments and in turn will keep participants informed and up to date as details emerge. The Cranford PAL encourages all individuals to monitor for all program and registration announcements.

The Cranford Police Athletic League was founded in 1981, and currently provides athletic programs for over eight hundred children in Cranford. The programs are supervised and coached by Cranford Police Officers and volunteers from the community. The PAL programs help create a positive, trusting relationship between youth and the Police Officers of Cranford.
