STANHOPE, NJ -- Boys and girls in grades K-4, and their parents, are invited to visit the Black River District Cub Scout Camporee on Saturday, May 4, from 3 – 5 p.m., at Mount Allamuchy Scout Reservation in Stanhope.
Come have fun in the outdoors with your son or daughter. You will be led on a tour of the camp and observe all the fun that Cub Scouts have at a camporee. So that the visitors have some fun activities too, you will get to participate in archery and BB.
Pre-registration is required at https://www.scoutingevent.com/358-BRVisit by May 2. Please wear comfortable, sturdy shoes and dress for the weather. Cub Scouts have fun rain or shine.
As you tour the camporee, we will introduce you to the Cub Scout pack from your town. Cub Scouts is open to boys and girls who will be in grades K-5 in September. Unfortunately, pre-K children are too young to do archery and BB. Some of our packs are still boy-only but many now accept girls also. In those packs, boys and girls are in separate dens (but do the same Cub Scout activities).
For more information, or to find the Cub Scout pack near you, contact Al Thomas, membership executive with the Patriots’ Path Council, BSA, firstname.lastname@example.org; 973-765-9322, x22.
