DENVILLE, NJ -- Morris Knolls and Mount Olive boys soccer teams entered their game against each other on Tue., Oct. 27, with three wins apiece. After two overtime periods, neither succeeded in notching a fourth victory in their 1-1 tie in Denville.
Assisted by Giovanni Zizza, Morris Knolls’s Bobby Egner put his team on the scoreboard first with a goal midway through the first period.
Anthony Rocco scored the tying goal for Mount Olive, assisted by Jackson Waldstein, within the waning seconds of the first period.
Morris Knolls goalkeeper Sam Babicz made eight saves. Kyle Birmingham had five save for Mount Olive.
The Golden Eagles (3-4-2) next play undefeated Randolph (6-0) at home on Wed., Nov. 4, at 4 p.m.
