DENVILLE, NJ – Morris Knolls boys soccer came up short against neighboring Morris Hills, 1-0, at home on Mon., Oct. 19.

Despite Morris Knolls’s tenacious defense, Morris Hills’s Justin Carro managed to land the ball at the back of the net with 16 minutes, 35 seconds, remaining in the second period to give Morris Hills its first victory of the season. Erick Cortes received credit for the assist.

Morris Knolls goalie Sean Boen had 16 saves. Mason Epstein had two saves for Morris Hills.

The Golden Eagles (2-2-1) will face Pope John (1-4-1) on the road on Wed., Oct. 21, at 4 p.m. Morris Knolls defeated Pope John, 2-0, earlier in the season.
