DENVILLE, NJ -- Brought back again for the month of August, the Denville After Dark street fair on Broadway will be held on August 14, 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. Previous events were held in June and July, with the last one attracting almost 1,000 attendees.

Like before, Denville After Dark will feature local downtown businesses bringing their services and merchandise outdoors on the closed-off Broadway. More tables will be set up on and around the downtown area, including Diamond Spring Road, East Main Street, Bloomfield Avenue, Center Street, and First and Second Avenue. The tables will be used to display items, accommodate outdoor dining, or house spare face masks and hand sanitizers.

Denville After Dark is organized by the Downtown Denville Business Improvement District, a nonprofit organization that works to promote the local establishments on Broadway and surrounding streets. With the COVID-19 pandemic causing the cancellation of most community events, such a street fair has become vital in supporting local businesses.

The street fair will feature a variety of activities, including another classic car display on First Avenue at the Denville Hardware Store. Car enthusiasts have flocked to the area to see vehicles that date back to the 50s and 70s.

Also, as before, there will be live musical performances by the Sugar Daddy Trio rock band, on the corner of Broadway and First Avenue, and acoustic rock duo Christy and Steve, playing on East Main Street.

A new feature of Denville After Dark is a pop-up class by Pure Barre Denville fitness center near Playa Bowls on Broadway, commencing at 5:30 p.m. Pre-registration is required.

Sponsors of Denville After Dark are the Saint Francis Residential Community, Denville Strong, the Peer Hyatt Selling Team, and GYMGUYZ.

Denville residents can look forward to the next Denville After Dark, tentatively slated for September 25.
