DENVILLE, NJ -- The Denville Township Council unanimously introduced an ordinance to designate a mid-block crosswalk on St. Mary’s Place during its in-person meeting on Aug. 4.
“The Denville Board of Education is leasing the former St. Mary’s School to provide for extra teaching space,” said Business Administrator Steve Ward.
“The mid-block crosswalk is being installed on St. Mary’s Place so that children can more safely cross from Riverview School to the St. Mary’s annex, which is located across the street.”
The council also unanimously introduced an ordinance that authorizes the use of $143,000 from the Open Space Trust Fund for various improvements at Valley View Fields and for the Trails Plans Implementation.
Among resolutions, the township council appointed Brian Mason as an alternate municipal prosecutor, for a one-year term.
